It’s National #MFGDay2022 today! National Manufacturing Day spotlights manufacturing careers in our modern world and connecting with future generations of manufacturers. Manufacturing is a vital and important sector of our economy and filled with technology, advanced skills, and creativity. In 2014, former President Obama formally recognized the manufacturing sector’s impact on the U.S. economy by proclaiming the first friday of October National Manufacturing Day. “With ingenuity and a determined spirit, hardworking Americans are creating products and unlocking new technologies that will shape our Nation and grow our economy.”

All over the U.S. manufacturing businesses are growing and Envirosep is no exception. As Envirosep continues to expand our manufacturing footprint, we are hiring employees in multiple disciplines. In anticipation of our staff growth and valuing our employees, a group of Envirosep employees earlier this year completed the readySC™ Train the Trainer and Leadership course. ReadySC™ is a division of SC Technical College System and works together with technical colleges to prepare South Carolina's labor force to meet the needs of South Carolina companies and “is one of the oldest and most experienced labor force training programs in the United States,” according to their website .

The Train the Trainer and Leadership course covers a variety of subjects that include communication, how to give directions and other leadership skills. Participants roll play scenarios to practice their newly honed skills. At Envirosep, we understand that investing in our future generations of manufacturers is key and we value all those that have made the career choice to work in manufacturing.

Not only do we value our current workforce, but Envirosep proudly supports the training of future workers by offering multiple Apprenticeship Programs. These two-year programs allow trainees to get paid while learning their trade at Envirosep and in partnership with Horry Georgetown Technical College. Whether your interest is to be a Pipe Fitter or perhaps an Industrial Electrician, Envirosep offers exciting opportunities to advance those dreams with our Apprenticeship Program.   We are ready to help the next generation of manufacturing workers make their mark.
